Yolanda Méndez

Lawyer

She is a lawyer in the Private Law Department, specialising in the areas of Civil and Commercial Procedural Law and Competition Law. She has extensive experience in judicial and arbitration litigation and in providing advice on competition issues, legally defending claimants for damages due to cartels and abuses of dominant position at a European level.

In 1999, she joined a law firm specialising in logistics and national and international freight transport (freight forwarders), combining her work as a practising lawyer, registered by the ICAM, with teaching. She

has been an associate professor at ATEIA Madrid (Freight Forwarders Association) where she has given training courses on incidents and claims in the field of national and international freight transport (air, sea and/or land) with assistance to the Transport Arbitration Boards of the Community of Madrid.

She has a degree in Law from the University of Salamanca and prepared for competitive examinations to enter the judicial career.
