CCS Abogados grows steadily and exceeds 13 million in turnover

A giant leap forward for the firm led by Jaime Concheiro. CCS Abogados closed the 2024 financial year with revenue of €13.1 million, representing a 92% increase compared to the previous year.

According to Concheiro, the firm's managing partner, this spectacular growth is primarily due to the materialization of revenue from class-action litigation cases such as the truck cartel case, after more than seven years of work. "Many of these proceedings have a medium-to-long duration, and during 2024 there have been several relevant resolutions that have generated a significant financial return," explains the firm's managing partner.

It should be noted that according to data reported to Expansión last spring, CCS achieved revenue of nearly €7 million in 2023. "We tackle large-scale, legally complex litigation with a unique combination of legal strategy and advanced technology, allowing us to successfully address complex cases such as the truck cartel, the healthcare cent, and now the claim against Booking.com," Concheiro said of the results achieved last year.

Relevant Cases

According to a statement from the firm itself, throughout its history, CCS Abogados has handled large class-action litigation cases, such as the truck cartel claim. It should be noted that in 2017, the Spanish Confederation of Freight Transport (CETM) selected the firm, following a competitive process involving 15 law firms and five litigation funds, to represent 5,750 transport companies owning 37,000 trucks in their claim against the truck cartel.

To date, the firm has obtained more than 4,100 favorable first-instance rulings, managing a high volume of data: more than 100,000 documents and 2 million data items processed. This case posed a legal and technological challenge, which CCS Abogados addressed with Truck Data Intelligence (TDI), a platform specifically designed for managing mass litigation in the transport sector.

The most recent and largest case facing CCS Abogados is the claim against Booking.com for anti-competitive contractual clauses imposed on Spanish hotels. In 2024, the Spanish Confederation of Hotels and Tourist Accommodation (CEHAT) entrusted CCS Abogados to represent its 16,000 member companies in what is shaping up to be a highly impactful litigation for the tourism sector.

Technology for the Booking Case

This case surpasses the truck cartel case in complexity and volume, and the firm has been preparing for it for over a year by developing a new advanced technology platform. Furthermore, CCS Abogados is coordinating its actions with the European Hotel Association HOTREC and through a joint venture with the German law firm SGP Schneider Geiwitz, which has litigated against Booking in Germany, the Netherlands, and before the Court of Justice of the EU.

In line with its commitment to digital transformation, CCS Abogados launched Litigation Data Intelligence (LDI) in 2024, a cloud-based platform that integrates Artificial Intelligence, advanced data analysis, and case management. This solution represents an evolution of Truck Data Intelligence (TDI), successfully used in the processing of thousands of truck cartel-related litigation cases, adapted to the new challenges of the Booking case.
